MiSS-1200 FPGA IO Board

MiSS-1200 FPGA IO Board

This product takes about 4-5 weeks to get build, tested and ready to ship. Do not mistake this board with our "MiSTress" IO boards (for DE-10 Nano/MiSTer).

New version from March 2024 features swappable FPGA modules. Attention! Modules sold separately (and are required for the base board to function):

Board designed to fit inside a Commodore A1200 case. Uses the original A1200 keyboard as input device. Compatible with repro cases by as well as original A1200 cases

Used in conjuntion with our Cyclone III/IV FPGA modules it is compatible MiST FPGA firmware and MiST cores. Most notably, Amiga (OCS, ECS, AGA), Atari ST/STE/Mega, MSX2+, Sega Megradrive, NeoGeo, SNES, PCEngineCD, Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, Atari 800, Sega Master System, among many others cores.

MiSS FPGA is based on the MiST FPGA and it is conceived to be placed inside an Amiga A1200 case and use its original membrane keyboard as input device. The most obvious core to run on the board is the Minimig (Amiga core), but it would also run most MiST cores out of the box.

We offer two FPGA modules based on Cyclone III or Cyclone IV FPGAs:

The board comes with 3D printed tray to get it secured inside the A1200 case. No case modifications needed.

Includes integrated MIDI out (TRS MIDI Type A standard).

The keyboard controller is built with QMK Firmware, therefore fully customizable with the QMK on-line configurator (needs USBasp programmer to load custom firmware).

Attention, does not inlcudes the A1200 case, nor keyboard! FPGA MODULE SOLD SEPARATELY!

    •  EP3C25E144 or EP4CE22F17 (depending on the module)
    • 64 MB SDRAM.
    • Six free USB ports (supports USB keyboards, mice and gamepads).
    • Internal ZIF connector for A1200 keyboard.
    • Two DB9 classic joystick connector.
    • VGA/RGB output.
    • RCA stereo audio output.
    • Micro SD card slot (push-push style).
    • TRS MIDI output (Type A).
    • On/Off mechanical switch.
    • Uses Amiga case LEDs for activity signal.
    • Includes 3D printed tray and fixing screws.
    • DC power input jack (5.5/2.1mm). Requires 5v, center positive PSU.

Attention! Power supply and power cable are not included. The unit requires at least 2 Amp output, high quality power supply. Stability might be affected if cheap/noisy power supplied are used.

In order to get a replacement or refund defective units must first be returned. Once the item has been inspected we will proceed to replace the unit or refund the payment. Items that have been damaged by careless/unadecuated use or modifyied by the buyer in any way will not be elegible for replace or refund of any kind.

The unit ships with the lastest firmware available. Notice that if you accidentally brick the unit by wrongly updating/downgrading the firmware, we do not give tech support for the reflashing process. This process is documented in detail in the MiST repository. If you want to keep your board under warranty you should send it back to us for review/reflashing.
